St. Joseph in My Backyard

We have St. Joseph in our backyard.

This spot was specifically chosen for him

--so he could watch our backs--.

He has also been watching over our chicken coop since

this past spring when Dan had to move it

because of a nosy-busy-body.

This turned out to be a very important placement for all of us concerned.

He is the patron saint of the family, the home and home protection.

I have found him to be quite dependable.

MAJOR chicken update coming soon...

We are still waiting to find out the details,

but I believe I will have quite a remarkable story to share in the end.

Good morning Andrea
and once again greetings
from a wet Ireland!!!

Your statue of St. Joseph is lovely. What a great idea to place him in the garden watching over you all.
I didn't know he was the patron Saint of family.

When my son was born he was in ICU and was released on St. Joseph's day so that is his second name
since then I have had a special place in my heart for St. Joseph!

Thanks so much for linking up with us today at "Green Day".
It is always lovely having you with us.

Wishing you a great weekend and that it isn't too hot in your little corner of the world!

Someone told me to bury a St. Joseph statue in the yard to help sell a house! It worked (after 7 months)!!

What a wonderful place to add St Joseph to your garden. At my other house I had a statue of St Francis who is the patron saint of animals. My neighbor loved that statue so I gave it to her as a going away present. Lovely photos! Take care, Janice

I'm so sorry you have been going through such an ordeal over your pets. In the small town in California that I live in, we can have anything we want as long as we care for them. That being said, I have a turkey, yes a turkey. haha Right now he is just about 7 inches tall, but expect a nice large guy by winter. He is my pet,so I understand your pain. May the Lord bless you and keep you. Pam
