Carrying Crosses and Holy Week

Sometimes we get a little one,

and sometimes we get a big 'un,

and sometimes we get a group one,

and sometimes we feel like we're the only one...

And as much as we would like to ditch it sometimes,
when we are afraid to walk on the water,
when carrying crosses takes too much time,

it's really just preparing us,
strengthening us,
giving us the fortitude to carry on and deliver
the most wonderful message ever sent to earth
through even the darkest of times...

We will rise...again.

Nothing is on our time,
it's on God's time.

Andrea,
I saw your red roses on my side bar, and had to come over and see. The holy cross is beautiful, and every time I see it, I am reminded of His love for us.

Happy Easter, dear friend of mine.

That is hard to understand sometimes...God's time. It rarely coincides with what we think it should be. But...like you- I prepare and wait. Your roses and cross are beautiful. Blessings to you- xo Diana

Andrea,
Yes, I've been watching 'The Bible' on TV. I am really enjoying the series. Had to come over and see your red roses again.

Hi Andrea,

So nice to meet you!

What beautiful images! I especially love the roses with the cross, and of course, the pretty pastel pink flowers speak of spring time and freshness. We will be celebrating Greek Orthodox Easter on May 5th. Until then, we have many traditions like baking and dying eggs red, preparing the house and church service. Thanks for sharing these lovely thoughts.

Following you back!

Andrea, thank you for being my newest Follower. Wanted to come see who the lady with the cheery and uplifting message left on my blog was- and here I find out in THIS post. I could tell from your message, somehow, that you are my sister in Christ.... Praise the Lord. You are a new Follower of mine (and now I'm your newest Follower) and commented on my little spray paint project, but what you probably don't know yet from my blog, is I'm a recent widow. I lost my husband Kevin, who went to be with Our Father on Jan 30, of this year after a 5.5 year battle with Kidney Cancer. He died without any cancer pain, (the Lord always kept that from him, not modern drugs and medicine) and his biggest concern before he passed away is that *I* would be angry at God for the cancer, and reminded me, "He loves me Suzanne. God didn't do this, it just happened." I miss him so much, but I know that He is resting in God's arms now, and wants for nothing and I continually thank the Lord for the 15 short years I had him, on earth with me.

Your Newest Follower, from NW Illinois,
Suzanne (at MaytagNMom)
